Our Techniques Class

Now although this was to be a 10 class series with 2 techniques per class, we have spead through in 4 class and done 16 techniques. After each class we made one card with one of the techniques learned that evening and here they are:

Class 1-- we used Popping Pastels technique with Stampin' Pastels and versa mark to create this charming card using the Fresh Cuts, Swirls and Curls Verses stamp sets along with the Beyond the Garden DSP

Class 2--was a blast with all of us returning to childhood with Shaving Cream Wonder. We had one student who really got into it. (I wonder how long it took to get all that ink off her fingers?)

Class 3--We used the Baby wipe Ink pad this technique is wonderful if you wish to produce cards in large quantities while using more than one colour on your stamp. For the flower we used the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set, each lady chose which sentiment she wanted to express.

Class 4--Aluminum Embossing, this one proved to be a challenge, if anyone knows what type of aluminum does not rip through 50% of the time, please let me know. But with all our challenges that evening the cards still ended up looking lovely with the Pretties flower taking front and centre stage.

Something tells me I'm missing a class! The first of you ladies who tells me if I missed one and which one it is, will receive a special little something at our next meeting.

  1. I wish I could give you an answer to your aluminium woes but I had the same problem. These technique cards are great though. What a wonderful way to showcase them.

  2. Learning the technique with the shaving cream was the most fun I had in a long time! And what's a little ink on your fingers?! It's so worth it for the fun and great results! Thank you, Louise!
